Rain, hail or shine, the Coleman Greig Challenge is a must go event!

October 24th, 2017

For the second consecutive year, Westmead Medical Research Foundation has been one of the beneficiaries of the Coleman Greig Challenge.

Despite the wet weather this year, once again the event was exceptionally organised and all the attendees (over 400) really had a great time.

Thank you to the entire team at Coleman Greig Lawyers for their hard work and dedication preparing such a successful event that raised over $170,000 for St Gabriel’s School, the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) and My Westmead.

Our appreciation is extended to all the sponsors, the organising committee, participants – individuals & teams – donors, ambassadors, volunteers and to anyone who in one way or another supported the Challenge!

Pictured: Finish line, our very own Jo Sabbouh (WMRF Senior Trust Fund Administrator) receiving her 2nd place medal in her 10km female run and of course the Ambassadors for this year’s Coleman Greig Challenge.

Funds raised this year for My Westmead will be allocated towards the purchase of much needed equipment for Westmead Hospital’s Women’s & Newborn Health unit.

Even the little ones care about the little ones! Little Chloe visited My Westmead’s ‘Living Library’, and asked our staff many questions and learnt how every year, Westmead’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) assists more than 1500 newborn babies requiring special care.

Once again, thank you for giving back to the community and supporting children with special needs and newborn care.

We hope you enjoyed your involvement with such a great event! WMRF Heart
