The countdown for the 2018 Coleman Greig Challenge has started, so mark your calendar to join this annual event on Friday, 21 September 2018.
For the third consecutive year, Westmead Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) is one of the beneficiaries of an event that provides businesses and individuals with the opportunity to make a difference to the Western Sydney community.
During the recent launch of the Challenge, Coleman Greig Lawyers Principal, Andrew Grima, thanked the businesses who have already agreed to sponsor the 6th version of the event.
“In the past five years the Challenge has raised nearly $600,000 for our charity partners and the amazing work they do giving children with special needs and newborns opportunities and support to be the best they can be,” Andrew said.
“Participant numbers have also increased from 103 back in 2013 to over 500 in 2017.”
Once again, Olympian Jana Pittman is an ambassador for this year’s event, along with WSLHD’s former director of supportive and palliative medicine Dr Phillip Lee, who is also a cyclist enthusiast.
Grab your training gear and join the businesses and individuals who will come together to run, ride or walk in beautiful Parramatta Park and enjoy the celebratory breakfast offered at Old Government House.
In 2017 more than 50 WSLHD employees joined the challenge. Let’s beat that number this year with more participants and more funds to support the work of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Westmead Hospital.
