Doctor Linda Bendall wins NSW Premier's Award for Outstanding Cancer Research Fellow

Westmead Millennium Institute's Dr Linda Bendall has been recognised for her cancer research into the treatment of leukaemia.

Dr Bendall’s laboratory is leading research into the ways that cells interact to cause acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), which occurs most commonly in children. 

Dr Bendall’s research has uncovered new information about factors which may slow or prevent the growth of leukaemia.

 In the coming year, this research will very likely be taken into new clinical trials testing these promising new treatments.
